Features
Every ResumHero feature, in one place
A resume and CV builder organised around one career profile. Here is each part of it, what it does, and where the free plan sets a limit.
No card. One resume and two templates on the free plan, for as long as you like.
Get your career into one profile
Everything about your work history lives in a single career profile. Each resume you make draws from it, so you never retype a job.
Import an existing resume
Upload a PDF or Word file up to 10 MB. The import reads your roles, skills, projects and education, and you approve each section before it is saved. The file itself is read once and discarded.
Build from LinkedIn
Connect your LinkedIn account to start a resume from it. LinkedIn only shares your name, email and photo with apps, so the same step takes LinkedIn’s own profile PDF to bring in your roles and education.
Start from a job title
No resume yet? Enter the job you are aiming for and get a one-page outline with the right sections and prompts to fill in. It does not make up jobs or dates.
One profile, many resumes
Personal details, experience, skills, projects, education and certifications are kept in the profile. Tailoring a resume to a job changes that resume only.
Tailor a resume to each job
Paste a job description and see how your resume compares, then decide what to change. Nothing is applied without your say-so.
Job matcher
An overall score with four sub-scores (skills, experience, keywords and formatting), what already matches, and what is missing. Tick the missing skills you actually have to add them to this resume.
Free plan: three tailoring runs a month.
Optimize
Suggested rewrites for your summary and weaker bullets, using the wording from the job ad, plus a reorder that puts the most relevant work first. Each change is shown as before and after, and you can undo it later.
Off-field roles
When a job is in a different field from some of your experience, the matcher says so and offers to trim those roles from this copy only.
Readiness checklist
Completeness, targeting, links and ATS details in one list, with one-click fixes where they make sense.
Make the resume stronger
Checks that tell you what to fix and why, against a written standard rather than a vague score.
How the ATS check worksQuality check
Reads the whole resume against ResumHero’s written standard for strong resumes. You get its strengths first, then findings ranked critical, high, medium and polish, each with why it matters and a rewrite where the facts allow.
Free plan: three quality checks a month.
ATS check
Shows how an applicant tracking system reads the resume: contact details, structure, content and format. It is instant and free to re-run.
Bullet rewrites
Click any bullet for three alternatives: say it better, cut it down, or lead with the result. Rewrites rephrase what you wrote; they do not add facts.
Real page count
The page count comes from the actual PDF, so “fits on one page” is true. When it runs over, it shows where the space goes, including anything said twice.
Edit, format and export
A resume editor with a live preview, layouts that parse cleanly, and files you can send anywhere.
Browse the templatesResume editor
Reorder or hide sections from the outline, add up to ten custom sections such as awards, publications or languages, and hide an entry without deleting it.
Templates
One-column resume and CV layouts in reading order with real headings. Switching template never touches your content. ATS Professional and Graduate are free; the rest come with Premium.
Photo, when you want one
Templates with a photo slot, such as the International CV, take a JPEG, PNG or WEBP and crop it to a portrait automatically.
PDF and Word export
Download a PDF or a DOCX with the same content in the same order. Both are free on every plan.
Apply, then learn what worked
The steps after the resume: a cover letter for the role, and a record of where each version went.
More on cover lettersCover letters
Generated from your resume and the job description you matched against, using only facts from the resume. Copy it into the application.
Free plan: three cover letters a month.
Application tracker
Log each application with the resume you sent, then move it from applied to interview to offer.
Insights
Interview and offer rates for each resume, counted from what you tracked, with a weekly chart of your applications. Rates appear once you have five applications.
