Terms of Service

ResumHero helps you build a career profile, create resumes from it, tailor a resume to a job description, check its quality, write cover letters, export PDF and Word files, and track your applications.

The service is currently free. Paid plans are not available yet; if we introduce them, their price and terms will be shown before you are asked to pay for anything.

• You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
• One person, one account. Do not create accounts to get around the limits of a plan.

Everything you put into the service (your profile, your resumes, the files you upload, the job descriptions you paste) remains yours.

You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to provide the service to you, including sending the relevant parts to AI providers when you use an AI feature. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail.

You are responsible for your content. Only upload material you have the right to use, and make sure what your resume says about you is true.

• AI output is a suggestion, not advice. Review every suggestion before you accept it and before you send a resume or cover letter to anyone.
• The AI is instructed never to invent employers, dates, skills or numbers, but it can still make mistakes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the final document.
• Scores and checks (such as the match score, the quality check and the ATS check) are estimates to help you improve a resume. They are not a prediction of how an employer or their software will treat your application.
• We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or any other outcome.

The Free plan has limits, such as the number of resumes and a monthly allowance for some AI features. The current limits are shown in the app. We may change them, and we will show the change in the app when we do.

Downloading the resumes you have made stays free.

You agree not to:

• use the service for anything unlawful, or to create false or misleading credentials for another person;
• upload content that infringes someone else's rights or contains malicious code;
• try to break, overload, probe or bypass the security or the limits of the service;
• access the service with automated tools in a way that burdens it, or resell access to it;
• copy, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the service, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.

The ResumHero name, software, templates and site content belong to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership of it. The resumes you create with our templates are yours to use freely.

We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever plan to shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice so you can export your resumes.

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@resumhero.com.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your resumes.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, ResumHero is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, opportunities or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
